About Us

About Matt
Matt is a farm boy from Minnesota (where he lived for 23 years).  He graduated from Crown College in Minnesota and later received his Master's from Lee University.  Currently, he is working on his Doctor of Worship Studies degree from The Institute for Worship Studies in Jacksonville, Florida.

About Desiree
Desiree is a crafty girl born in Indiana, lived in Florida and later Alabama.  She graduated from Tennessee Temple University.  She loves working on her craft projects, learning new domestic things and becoming a better wife.

About Us
Although we had met a year prior to that, God didn't see fit to have us "notice" each other until April of 2009.  Our first outing was a trip with a couple of his students to see Matt play the piano in Shakespeare's MacBeth and dinner at PF Chang's.  We all laughed so hard we cried.  2 days later, we all went to Middle School Camp, where Desiree realized that Matt was the man she was meant to marry.  We were praying with a group of leaders and Matt prayed one of the sweetest prayers over her and it was then that she knew.  We made our relationship official on January 6, 2010 knowing that we were both very serious about our relationship.  Our relationship continued to grow as we ministered to the students, and spent more and more time together.

When student choir started back up in August, 2010, Matt proposed to Desiree in front of the whole choir.  It was here that we had our first kiss together.  It was a beautiful moment I'll never forget.

We were married on June 18, 2011 in a beautiful ceremony at the church where we met.  It was literally one of the best days ever.  We had so much fun!

Married life has been lots of fun.  We have been able to travel quite a bit and get to know each other so much better.  Life is good!  We are so blessed to get to spend it together!
